THE MOUNTAIN ST. NEARBY

The mountain St. Near it is the tallest peak in our valley, and also the most greater of the dorsal appenninica marchigiana (parallel to that umbro-marchigiana), the mountain owed to have had, since the most remote antiquity, a particular importance for the populations that you/they lived to its slopes. The Near San is in fact visible is that he arrives from west, that is from near Umbria or from east, therefore from the coast of the Adriatic sea, but its outline is unmistakable even if it bewares him of south, that is from the Sibylline mountains, or from north. The mountain, therefore, has always represented an important point of reference “visual” for those people who moved him afoot or to horse along the streets of communication among the emporiums of the adriatic coast (Ancona, Numana etc...) and the Etruria.
